In a letter to the industry, just days after announcing that the Canadian Mechanical and Plumbing Exposition (CMPX) 2020 would continue, the Show organizers are now postponing the event until further notice. The event was originally scheduled to run from March 25 to 27 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.

“It’s amazing how fast the world moves; just 10 days ago we were confident that the 2020 CMPX Show would run as expected. Even earlier this week we were re-assured when the Ontario Government made a public announcement (March 10th) that events should continue as planned in the Province. Roll the clock ahead 48 hours and it’s a different world,” said show organizers.

The boards of directors and senior business leaders of both CIPH and HRAI, the co-producers of the CMPX event, had been monitoring the events surrounding the global COVID-19 crisis and discussions about the correct course of action evolved on a daily and hourly basis, ultimately leading to the announcement of postponing the event.
