Save the dates! Canada Green Building Council invites you to attend “Building Lasting Change”, June 5-6, 2024, in Toronto “where business and technical expertise converge to accelerate the decarbonization of Canada’s large buildings”.

At the conference, attendees will be able to participate in forums exploring national issues, and follow learning tracks that examine the technical or business side of green buildings.

“CAGBC’s Building Lasting Change conference is where Canada’s green building sector connects with the influential decision-makers and leading experts accelerating the sector on the path to zero carbon,” say organizers.

Meantime, CAGBC corporate members are invited to apply for the opportunity to share their expertise and insights under the Business Stream or Technical Stream.

Business Stream: Decisive action on carbon emissions is now a critical business priority

Objective: This track will highlight the business advantages of zero-carbon buildings and their contribution to broader climate goals. Sessions should leverage real-world examples and demonstrate how zero carbon buildings are investor-worthy, more resilient to current and future risks, are uniquely positioned to support new business models, affordability and growth, and help retain value and insurability as examples.

Technical Stream: Pathways to a zero carbon future

Objective: This track will examine strategies, tools and considerations to drive down emissions for deep carbon retrofits and zero-carbon design. Sessions should showcase zero-carbon guidance and thinking to inform successful real-world strategies to accelerate issues such as electrification, resilience, embodied carbon reductions, and transition planning.
