Through Natural Resources Canada’s Office of Energy Efficiency, the Canadian Industry Partnership for Energy Conservation (CIPEC) is featuring a monthly series of 60-minute free webinars.

The next webinar is scheduled for December 7, 2022, from 1 pm to 2 pm ET.

Following an introduction by NRCan’s Freitas Tola, Derek Kelly (also of NRCan) will provide an overview of the 50001 Ready Canada Tool.

The 50001 Ready Canada program recognizes Canadian facilities and organizations that attest to the implementation of an ISO 50001-based energy management system.

The program is a self-paced, no-cost way for organizations to build a culture of structured energy improvement that leads to deeper and sustained savings and does not require any external audits or certifications.

Central to the program is the 50001 Ready Navigator tool, which provides step-by-step guidance to help you implement your ISO 50001 energy management system.

Finally, energy specialist Burck Hantel will explain how the 50001 Ready tool helped guide efforts when implementing an energy management system at the Alberta-Pacific Forest Industries Pulp Mill located in Boyle, Alta., and the beneficial results achieved.

The webinar closes with approx. 15 minutes of Q&A.
