Lighting component manufacturer Fulham’s new linear DirectAC retrofit engines, part of its Vizion line of kits, feature an AC direct drive on an integrated LED board for low-profile, dimmable applications.
The engines are available in three variants—10-W (5.5-in.), 15-W (11-in.) and 30-W (22-in.)—and accommodate universal voltage input from 120 to 277 V. A standard colour rendering index (CRI) of 90 and a range of colour temperatures are offered for each model.
The integrated LED board eliminates the need for a separate driver, allowing for a profile of just 0.67 in. in height. This allows the engines to be retrofitted into vanity-type fixtures, linear wall sconces and other surface-mounted applications in the retail, health-care, educational, industrial and hospitality sectors, for users seeking to reduce energy costs.
