GE Lighting and Trane develop HVAC and lighting control system

May 13, 2013 - GE Lighting and Trane, a brand of Ingersoll Rand, say they have developed a new way for building owners to control costs for lighting, heating and cooling operations. GE’s LightSweep modular lighting control solution can now be integrated into the Trane Tracer centralized building automation system (BAS), allowing for ‘on-off’, dimming, group control and scheduling capabilities for indoor and outdoor lighting systems. Building managers can pull energy usage reports remotely from a web browser. Trane’s Tracer BAS also has full mobile capability from any laptop, tablet or smartphone. The snap-in control modules can be factory pre-installed in panels or field installed―either in existing panels as expansions or in remote locations for localized control.
