Join the expert ranks: BOMA Canada seeks professionals for Technical Advisory Committee

January 26, 2024 – BOMA Canada is seeking experienced and knowledgeable professionals to join its Technical Advisory Committee.

This committee is an essential component of BOMA Canada, says the association, “responsible for providing expert guidance on a wide range of technical matters related to building management, energy efficiency, sustainability, and emerging technologies”.

“[It] plays a vital role in developing industry standards, guidelines, and strategies to address the evolving needs of the commercial real estate sector.”

BOMA Canada is looking for professionals for its four expert groups:

• Energy, carbon, water, wellness, and resilience (5 positions)
• Indoor air quality (2 positions)
• Waste management (2 positions)
• Smart (3 positions)

Applicants must have a proven track record in the following areas as they pertain to the expert group:

• Building management and operations
• Energy efficiency and sustainability
• Technological innovation in real estate
• Regulatory compliance and risk management
• Industry standards and best practices

Members of the Technical Advisory Committee will be expected to:

• Provide strategic input on technical matters affecting the BOMA BEST Sustainable and Smart certification program.
• Contribute to the development and revision of industry standards and guidelines.
• Stay informed about emerging technologies and trends that impact building management.
