Rittal’s new IoT interface for climate control solutions
January 18, 2018 — Rittal says its new IoT interface makes continuous communication from the sensor to the cloud possible, as well as connection to superordinate monitoring or energy management systems.

The interface turns the cooling units and chillers in the Blue e+ range into IoT-compatible devices. Mountable on a top hat rail or directly on the cooling unit or chiller, the interface also supports OPC-UA, Profinet, SNMP, Modbus and CANopen protocols.
The communication options available through the new IoT interface also make it possible to integrate the climate control solutions into IoT applications, such as energy data management. Rittal says the data from the cooling units and chillers is available at all times.
