ASHRAE’s new “Energy Efficiency Guide for Existing Commercial Buildings: Technical Implementation” book
December 16, 2011 - Guidance on increasing energy efficiency in existing buildings through measuring and tracking efficiency and implementing an efficiency plan is featured in the new book—Energy Efficiency Guide for Existing Commercial Buildings: Technical Implementation. The book recommends some tips on how to begin the energy savings process, such as: calculating energy use and cost; setting energy performance goals; measuring and analyzing current energy use; and tracking performance. It also features practical means and methods for planning, executing and monitoring an effective program, based on widely available techniques and technologies, adds ASHRAE.
