Commenting on winning the award, Belinda Gilbey, President and Co-founder of BONDI Energy says: “We are excited to announce that the Ontario Sustainable Energy Association (OSEA) has named BONDI one of Ontario’s Top 10 Cleantech Companies. BONDI was given the 2022 Best in Class Award for Energy Efficiency & Grid Firming at the Green Energy Doors Open Cleantech Forum. It was incredible to attend such an inspiring event and celebrate the leaders within Ontario’s sustainable community. We are working hard to accelerate energy efficiency and building decarbonization and are thrilled that organizations like OSEA are recognizing our efforts. Governments have set net zero goals, but it’s going to take companies like BONDI to pick up the ball and run it down the decarbonization field. Together, we are getting Ontario closer to reaching our collective goals.”

Over the past 60 years, heat pumps have evolved into one of the most efficient ways to heat and cool a building. Switching from fossil fuels to heat pumps can eliminate emissions in gas heated buildings and increase electric efficiency by more than 60% in electrically heated buildings. Additionally, heat pumps have the potential to reduce our reliance on fossil fuels by tapping into the increasing supply of renewable electricity.

“At BONDI Energy, we understand the impact of utilizing heat pumps and the growing need to increase their adoption across multifamily buildings,” says Aaron Graben Co-Founder, Vice-President of BONDI Energy. “Communities, governments, and building owners are becoming increasingly aware of these issues and it’s our job to make sure they have the right tools, resources and information to make the transition to full electrification.”
