Celebrating 10 years in Canada – Energy Star Portfolio Manager

October 4, 2023 – This year marks the 10th anniversary of Natural Resources Canada’s (NRCan’s) collaboration with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency on the Canadian adaptation of Energy Star Portfolio Manager. Happy anniversary!

NRCan’s Office of Energy Efficiency (OEE) reports that, back in August 2013, this benchmarking tool was adapted to include Canadian weather, postal codes, both official languages, the metric system, and data specific to Canada.

OEE says thousands of Canadian building owners already use this free benchmarking tool to help turn their utility data into actionable knowledge. With Portfolio Manager, owners can monitor, rate, and optimize their building’s energy use in a secure, online environment.
