Cree adds intelligent colour to SmartCast technology
February 13, 2015 - Cree Inc. has introduced a field adjustable colour temperature for SmartCast technology-enabled CR Series LED troffers.

The first of Cree’s luminaires to feature instantly adjustable colour temperatures, Cree’s SmartCast technology combined with its TrueWhite technology allow for “superior colour quality and consistency while providing greater flexibility to control illumination at no additional cost,” said the company.
Cree added that these luminaires featuring field adjustable colour temperature enhance commercial building design by eliminating the need to decide on colour temperature when installing them.
SmartCast technology-enabled CR Series LED troffers are available in 3000K to 5000K in 500K increments.
Cree said this lighting-control system reduces energy consumption by more than 70% compared to traditional fluorescent luminaires without SmartCast technology.
