CSA ISO 50001 energy management standard and guideline

November 26, 2012 - CSA (Canadian Standards Association) has introduced the ISO 50001 Energy Management Systems standard and implementation guideline to help businesses move forward in reducing their energy consumption, while also recognizing the cost savings as a result of doing so. While the standard and guideline are specifically aimed at small and medium enterprises, organizations of all sizes can follow the information for developing and implementing an effective energy management system to help decrease overall energy usage, says CSA. The ISO 50001 Implementation Guideline covers topics, such as: the application of the requirements of the ISO 50001 standard; practical aspects for implementingISO 50001; examples; and audit checklist.
