Osram Sylvania introduces Octron 800 XV lamps

August 18, 2011 - Osram Sylvania has expanded its portfolio of Octron fluorescent lamps with its new Octron 800 XV eXtended Value types. According to the company, these lamps meet today’s lighting needs of high efficiency, long life and colour rendition while responding to marketplace needs for responsible fluorescent alternatives during the industry’s rare earth phosphor crisis. The lamps include 4-foot lengths in full wattage (32 watt) and reduced wattage, Supersaver (30W, 28W and 25W) types that deliver energy savings potential of up to 40% when compared with T12 magnetically ballasted fluorescent systems, says Osram.
