Philips InstantFit LED T8 uses 40% less energy

January 29, 2014 - Royal Philips says its new InstantFit LED T8 tube lamps use up to 40% less energy compared to linear fluorescent tube lighting and require less maintenance due to their long lifetime. Installers can replace fluorescents tubes within seconds, says Philips, as the electronic design is compatible with existing electronic instant start ballasts and sockets and does not require re-wiring.
