Samsung acquiring HVAC distributor Quietside
August 19, 2014 - Samsung Electronics America Inc. is acquiring Quietside Corp., a distribution channel for HVAC products, and has been the master distributor for Samsung HVAC products in Canada and the U.S. since 1997.

Samsung says the acquisition will provide Quietside with greater access to its range of HVAC products. As a result of the acquisition, Quietside will increase its personnel and infrastructure investment in North America to serve the split ductless and VRF product categories.
The manufacturer expects to further strengthen its sales operations in North America, particularly in the B2B space, and says it also plans to unveil an enhanced HVAC product lineup that “better reflects the needs of North American customers”.
