Eaton enhances energy services offerings with acquisition

Eaton Corporation, a diversified industrial manufacturer, has acquired EMC Engineers, Inc.

Headquartered in Denver, Colorado, EMC Engineers, Inc. is an energy engineering and energy services company that delivers energy-efficiency solutions for a wide range of governmental, educational, commercial and industrial facilities. The firm is a leader in retrofitting and modernizing mechanical, electrical, and control systems, as well as energy modeling and analysis, facility commissioning, and energy savings performance contracting, says Eaton.

“Energy management and service is an important part of Eaton’s growth portfolio,” said Thomas S. Gross, vice chairman and COO of Eaton’s Electrical Sector. “EMC’s capabilities enhance our value added service business by expanding our early stage service offerings. This will ultimately better position Eaton to meet our customers’ growing energy management needs.”

The company produces electrical components and systems for power quality, distribution and control; hydraulics components, systems and services for industrial and mobile equipment; aerospace fuel, hydraulics and pneumatic systems for commercial and military use; and truck and automotive drivetrain and powertrain systems for performance, fuel economy and safety.
