Huntsman releases enhanced Heatlok Soya HP spray foam insulation
June 13, 2024 By Anthony Capkun

June 13, 2024 – Huntsman Building Solutions (HBS) offers a new “enhanced” version of the Heatlok Soya HP closed-cell spray foam solution, featuring a product-specific Environmental Product Declaration (EPD), a tested air barrier system in accordance with CAN/ULC S742, as well as radon.
The hydrofluoroolefin (HFO) blowing agent boasts zero ozone depletion potential (ODP) and a global warming potential (GWP) equal to 1. It is compatible with most building products and can be used in a variety of applications, including Huntsman’s D-Max wall assembly, which allows for the installation of spray foam insulation from the interior of the building while managing the thermal bridging of the studs and the structure.
Heatlok Soya HP provides insulation, air barrier, vapour barrier and rain screen in one solution, and resists mold and flood damage. It contains 20% recycled plastic and soya oil, and effectively blocks the intrusion of airborne irritants.
