The partnership “reinforces the commitment to sustainability shared by FCS and York University”, Wyse says, noting it will manage the electricity submetering lifecycle for The Quad, from hardware and installation, to reporting, billing and ongoing customer service. The integration of Wyse’s billing platform with property management software will allow for automatic sharing of frequent move-in and move-out data, the company adds. Students will have access to customer service, including a web portal, detailed electricity bills and a call centre that operates in 26 languages, 14 hours a day.

“Wyse’s tools and services will help us provide students with a more innovative and responsive residential experience,” said Henry Morton, president of FCS Development.

The Quad at York will include 812 beds in two six-storey buildings, all in an environmentally sustainable foundation, FCS says.

FCS is a private Canadian company created by Forum Equity Partners and Campus Suites.
